On May 26th, Thai Binh Duong University was officially recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training for meeting the standards of educational quality according to the new set of criteria.

Attending the ceremony of Announcement and Certificate Award for meeting the educational quality standards, on behalf of the Quality Assurance Center in Education, Vinh University, were Dr. Tran Dinh Quang – Director of the Quality Assurance Center, and Associate Professor, Dr. Le Van Hao – Quality Assurance Expert.

Representing Thai Binh Duong University were Dr. Nguyen Thanh Toai – the University’s President; Dr. Pham Quoc Loc – Vice President; Mr. Tran Phu My – a member of the University Council; Master Le Trung Tin – Head of the Quality Assurance Department, along with faculty members and university staff.

The event also witnessed the presence of representatives from various provincial departments in Khanh Hoa, including Mr. Le Dinh Thuan – Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ha – Director of the Department of Culture and Sports; Mr. Nguyen Tan Trung – Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communication; Mr. Cung Quynh Anh – Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism; Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hoang Diep – Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology; Mrs. Luu Thi Hong Van – Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Propaganda Board; and Mr. Nguyen Cao Vu – Director of the ACB Bank’s South Central Region.

Accordingly, the External Evaluation Team – the Quality Assurance Center in Education, Vinh University – conducted an official survey at Thai Binh Duong University from January 7th, 2022, to January 12th, 2022, adhering to a rigorous process, ensuring objectivity, and honesty based on relevant evidence.

The evaluation criteria utilized by the External Evaluation Team consist of 25 educational quality standards comprising 111 criteria, each evaluated on a 7-level rating scale, spanning 4 domains: Quality Assurance in Strategy; Quality Assurance in Systems; Quality Assurance in Functionality; and Operational Outcomes.

The assessment results indicate that the university has fully met the required standards and criteria of all 25 categories, including several criteria surpassing the stipulated requirements. This further reinforces Thai Binh Duong University’s reputation as a trustworthy educational institution, characterized by excellent infrastructure, high-caliber lecturers, advanced training programs, and proactive teaching methods, enabling students to unleash their potential and meet the increasingly demanding requirements of the job market. Consequently, students attending this university are well-positioned to seamlessly integrate into the international labor market.

It is known that the university will concentrate on summarizing and assessing the developmental strategy of the previous phase while establishing the development strategy for the upcoming years. This includes clear directions, strategic objectives, and a focus on solutions such as elevating the professional competence of staff and faculty, renovating teaching and learning methods, integrating education with scientific research, and innovating and strengthening management.

The results of achieving educational quality accreditation provide the foundation and premise for future endeavors. In the coming time, the university will undergo educational quality assessments for three disciplines, namely Business Administration, Tourism, and Law. For the years 2023-2025, Thai Binh Duong University aims to have two disciplines evaluated according to international standards: FIBAA or ACBSP.

According to Dr. Pham Quoc Loc – Vice President of Thai Binh Duong University – the current accomplishment in ensuring quality is a result of the alignment of vision, investment, commitment, and perseverance in implementation by the university’s leadership, along with the unity and dedication of the faculty and staff. In the future, the university will continue to focus on quality improvement to provide students with a complete learning environment, professional competence, and lifelong learning; while elevating the capabilities of faculty members in applying digital transformation in teaching.

Educational quality accreditation is not just evidence of a university’s educational efforts, but also a solution to holistically assess and set standards for all activities, from teaching to scientific research.

Human resources, infrastructure, and equipment serving education and international integration capabilities are critical factors in enhancing educational quality,” emphasized Dr. Pham Quoc Loc.
