Thai Binh Duong University signs a collaboration agreement with the Japan Internship Association.

The signing ceremony took place on the afternoon of October 8th in Ho Chi Minh City, with the participation of SOVICO Group, HDBank, and HD SAISON Joint Stock Company.

Dr. Nguyen Thanh Toai, President of Thai Binh Duong University, and Mr. Tsukagoshi Kazuyoshi, Chairman of JISA, signed the memorandum of understanding for cooperation.

The Japan Internship Association (JISA) is a program initiated by the Japanese Government. The program enables Japanese enterprises to receive and utilize international students for internships with the aim of promoting cultural exchange, providing a workforce for studying and working in Japan, and developing practical working skills in an international environment for students.

Consequently, the signing ceremony not only opens up numerous opportunities for learning and work experiences but also provides many scholarships for students undertaking paid internships in Japan. In the context of this collaboration, JISA commits to:

  • Cooperating with Thai Binh Duong University to organize training and skill development for students according to the requirements of Japanese enterprises.
  • Collaborating to organize Japanese language training and the certification program for National Specialized Skills, officially known as “Specific Skills Certification.”
  • Providing scholarships for students on 6 or 12-month internships in Japan.
  • Advising, introducing, and organizing “Work-Study Japanese” scholarships after 2 years of official work visa conversion in Japan for Vietnamese engineering graduates.
  • Recruiting personnel, particularly engineering graduates, to work in Japanese enterprises.
  • Organizing activities for exchanging experts and engineering graduates specialized in research and technology transfer related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Japan is renowned for its labor market and quality education, with many institutions eager to collaborate.

During the signing ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Toai, President of the University Council and President of Thai Binh Duong University, shared insights into the strategic orientation of the university in international cooperation activities.

He stated, “Though Thai Binh Duong University is relatively young compared to the age of a university, being established just 13 years ago, we are always aware of the crucial role of international connections and cooperation in the endeavor to educate students and enhance the capacities of lecturers. Today’s signing ceremony provides me with a vision of a more diverse, enriching, and international experience for our students, enabling them to fully explore, broaden their horizons, receive inspiration, and most importantly, be equipped with the skills to become independent, adaptable, successful, and happy individuals.”

Also, during the signing ceremony, Mr. Tran Hoai Phuong, Deputy General Director of HDBank, and Mr. Dam The Thai, Deputy General Director of HD SAISON, delivered congratulatory speeches on this significant event, marking the beginning of educational cooperation between Thai Binh Duong University and the attending representatives.
