Linacre College is an esteemed member of Oxford University, a venerable institution of the United Kingdom.
On the afternoon of September 21st, Thai Binh Duong University joyously welcomed Professor Nicholas David Leimu-Brown, the Principal of Linacre College (United Kingdom). The visit also included the presence of Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung, Co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of SOVICO Group; Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Chairwoman and General Director of SOVICO Group; Ms. Nguyen Thanh Huong, Deputy General Director of SOVICO Group; along with distinguished guests from Linacre College and SOVICO Group.
During the visit, the delegation had the opportunity to explore the facilities for teaching and learning at Thai Binh Duong University, including the laboratories for the Tourism and Information Technology disciplines, the library, and the screening room. To commemorate this special occasion, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Toai, President of Thai Binh Duong University, alongside Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao and Professor Brown, took part in a tree-planting ceremony, symbolizing the affirmation of the harmonious collaboration between the parties.
Dr. Pham Quoc Loc, Vice President of Thai Binh Duong University, represented the institution in introducing and sharing the proud achievements of the university over the past academic years, demonstrating the university’s commitment to the mission of nurturing “successful and happy” citizens.
In response to the heartfelt sharing of Thai Binh Duong’s educational achievements, Professor Nick Brown expressed his appreciation, stating: “We highly value the vision and dedication of the university. Thai Binh Duong has invested greatly in the quality of education and created a meaningful interaction space between lecturers and students. What has particularly caught my attention and admiration is the university’s program ‘Listening to Students – Speaking to Students,’ which showcases a sincere commitment to engaging in conversations, attentively listening to students, and fostering an environment that empowers holistic student development. A university where all ideas and opinions are heard is indeed commendable.”
In this same setting, a representative of SOVICO Group, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, shared her personal passion as well as the group’s dedication to promoting research and education to serve the community.
